I have worn a kilt numerous times, and wearing a full on setup for an all day wedding is, quite frankly, a tiring business. Wearing this kit will be significantly easier as there is so much less material. I’m only going to be wearing it for a couple of hours, so certainly fit for purpose.The tartan is vibrant and nicer in colour than the pictures give it credit for. The sporran is well made and hangs nicely around the kilt on it’s strap. The socks fit well enough, albeit I’m not very tall and a size 8 shoe. As they are black, it will be possible to get away with them being slightly longer than is regulation. The pin and the faux dagger won’t be used and I think they are unnecessary in the company of the other better quality items. You can get them elsewhere if you need them to complete the look.A word of caution; if you have never worn a kilt before, you need to measure your fit around your navel. Measure your waist and expect to receive a kilt that will unlikely fit you. My size around the middle is a couple of inches up on my waist, so it’s fine for me. A very inexpensive and broadly authentic kilt set. You could do much worse, recommended.
